"The superior Doctor helps before early budding of disease… To administer medicines to diseases
which have already developed is comparable to the behavior of those persons who begin to dig a well after they have become thirsty "
- Huang Ti (2697-2597 BC)
Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is a method of health care which seeks to restore and maintain optimal physical well-being through prevention and the enhancement of nature’s inherent capacity to heal.
The Naturopathic Doctor seeks to identify and remove the causes of illness rather than simply suppress the symptoms, avoiding harm to the patient by employing techniques and medicinal substances that minimize the risk of side effects. In an effort to hinder the onset or the return of ill health, the Naturopathic Doctor assesses the risk factors and predispositions, as well as the lifestyle of each client. Naturopathy emphasizes education and self-responsibility of the patient for maintenance of good health.
Nurse Practitioner
An OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who has advanced training in a specialized area. Nurse Practitioners are trained to perform a broad spectrum of primary care activities within their specialty and can prescribe gynecological medications. Each Nurse Practitioner has a collaborative relationship with a Doctor to whom clients are referred for further treatment as needed.
