Therapeutic Massage
This "feel good" work has been around for centuries and is found in most cultures of the world. Therapeutic massage offers a means of treating physical and emotional complaints through various techniques of soft tissue manipulation. Tightness in muscles and joints lessens, circulation increases and the mind relaxes, releasing accumulated stress and.promoting better health.
Polarity Therapy
Polarity Therapy gently stimulates the finer electromagnetic energies that underlie the body and mind. Identifying each individual as a unique combination of the four elements of earth, water, fire and air, polarity speaks a language to the body that encourages an integrated and improved state of balance. This work enhances the interconnected relationships between the right and left, the front and back and the top and bottom of the body.
CranioSacral Therapy
This is a gentle hands-on technique used for the purpose of contacting and positively influencing the central nervous system. Much like the petals of a flower, the bones of the cranium expand and contract with the pumping of the cerebrospinal fluid,(CSF*).
*CSF is a nourishing, shock absorbing fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. Subtle body movements that coincide with the pumping action of this fluid result in improved functioning of the central nervous system, relaxation of traumatized muscles and organs, more appropriate alignment of the skeletal frame, and the release of accumulated mental, emotional and physical stress.
Receiving a CranioSacral treatment is like bathing the very core of one's being. This technique assists in accessing a very deep and profound level of relaxation that is usually difficult to access on one's own. Freedom from deep patterns and habitual responses to outside stimulus is encouraged. CranioSacral Therapy is very effective for headache complaints as well as head and neck injuries.
La Stone Therapy
This is an ancient yet contemporary approach to massage therapy. The physiological benefits of alternating hot and cold temperatures to the body (thermotherapy) have long been scientifically and medically proven. Basalt river rocks are heated while hand-crafted marble stones are cooled. Each is applied to the body with gentle gliding stokes of massage. The vascular gymnastics of the circulatory system assists the body in self-healing. The use of both hot and cold stones produces alternating sedative and re-energizing responses to the body.
La Stone therapy goes beyond the physical experiences of typical massage therapy and enters deeper dimensions of relaxation, health, and well-being, creating a positive approach to "Body-Mind-Spirit" philosophy. Clients love the potent recharge they receive from this treatment.
